Starting at the picture perfect Owhanake Bay, our expert guide will teach you the skills you need to control your Segway with ease.
Wind along the coastline over grassy knolls, through luscious native bush and Flax plants until we reach a stunning cove and, conditions permitting, run around Island Bay. With your new-found Segway skills extraordinaire, gently retrace your steps back to Owhanake Bay ready for part 2 of the Journey.
Hit the road towards the main town of Oneroa for a quick photo op with the striking backdrop of sail boats, hills, town centre and the beach in Oneroa Bay.
Glide onwards and upwards to an amazing lookout with 360˚ views of the island – see some amazing properties on a rollercoaster ride of hills until we reach our destination. Take some wonderful photos that stretch from Auckland past Rangitoto around to Coromandel and out to Great Barrier Island (on a clear day).
Stop off to look at some of the island’s World War II history and take a peek inside the shell of an old observation post. Cruise back to base, taking in the stunning scenery as we casually make our way back to Owhanake Bay.
Put simply, it’s beautiful scenery with a view to a view and loads of fun on the Segways.
